Volunteering at the INAS Global Games 2019 (GG2019) will be an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience for all those who are involved. It will be our chance to showcase Brisbane to the world as over 1000 athletes compete across nine sports in a captivating and inspirational celebration of sport, culture and ability.

Dedicated, friendly volunteers are the cornerstone of all great events and GG2019 will be no different. We’re looking for volunteers with a wide variety of skills and experience to help bring these Games to life for our athletes, their family and friends, and the many spectators.

There will be a number of different roles across all of our venues and service areas, so if you have the passion then we have the opportunity for you.

About the GG2019 Program

We will have over 500 Volunteers join the team in delivering GG2019 this October.

Roles are varied and cover several areas including:

  • Administration
  • Accreditation
  • Arts & Culture and Ceremonies
  • Logistics
  • Mascot Performance
  • Media & Communications
  • Transport
  • Venue Operations
  • Workforce

For more specific information – please read the GG2019 Volunteer Program Role Area Descriptions

We ask volunteers to make themselves available between 10 – 20 October and to expect to be rostered on for at least a minimum of 5 shifts (days). A number of roles will also require volunteers to have availability during the arrivals and departures period before and after the Games.

All volunteers will receive training, uniforms and meals (during allocated shifts). Volunteers will be responsible for all costs associated with travel to and from your shifts during the Games, including any accommodation costs.

The Games are hosted across a number of venues located around the Greater Brisbane area and Coomera.
