Japanese delegation delighted with INAS Global Games preparation
A delegation consisting five members of the Japanese Paralympic Committee recently spent a whirlwind three days assessing preparations ahead of the October INAS Global Games.
They toured our city visiting the international standard Global Games sporting venues, looking at inner city accommodation and enjoying the relaxed recreational spaces the city affords.
Delegation members, Miyuki Yoshina, Manager Japanese Para-Sports Association and Toshiyuki Saito, Director General of All Nippon ID Sport Association, left satisfied and impressed with Brisbane’s preparation and organisation for the Games.
“The Japanese delegation acknowledged the hard work and energy of our Local Organising Committee (LOC) and they were very optimistic that we would be holding a successful Games here in Brisbane in October,” says Robyn Smith, CEO of the INAS Global Games – Brisbane 2019.
The delegation was delighted to meet local organisers and share in their vision for what promises to be a very successful major sporting event.
“The Japanese team will be one of the largest contingents and so it is very reassuring that they feel confident that Brisbane is not only an inclusive city but that we will be delivering a high calibre, quality Games,” Smith added.
