Terms and Conditions

  1. Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust may accept or reject any application for a NEXT GEN ATHLETE GRANT or SCHOLARSHIP in its absolute discretion.
  1. If Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust decides to make a grant (Grant) to the applicant the Grant will be made subject to these terms and conditions.
  1. Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust will make a one-off payment to the applicable State sporting organisation – these funds will be held for exclusive use of the Applicant and acquitted by the SSO for eligible purchases.
  1. The State Sporting Organisation must indicate whether they require Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust to generate a tax invoice on behalf of the Applicant. By selecting YES to Q 19 the Applicant is authorising Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust to generate a tax invoice with respect to the Grant on the Applicant’s behalf.
  1. The Applicant must: a. meet all eligibility criteria (as set out in the application form) for application and receipt of the Grant and must promptly notify Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust if the Applicant no longer fulfils all of those eligibility criteria; b. only use the Grant for eligible purposes; c. The SSO must keep records detailing the use and expenditure of the Grant, and allow Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust or its authorised representatives to assess these records for the purpose of auditing the use of the Grant; d. when attending the nominated sporting competition, conduct him or herself in a dignified and reputable manner; and e. when attending the nominated sporting competition, ensure that he or she agree to be bound by, and comply with the relevant sport Anti-Doping Policy and Codes of Behaviour.
  1. Without limitation to any other rights of Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust, if Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust reasonably believes, at any time following the award of the Grant, that the Applicant: a. has provided false or misleading information in the application; b. has not attended, or will not attend the nominated sporting competition; or c. has otherwise breached any of its obligations set out in these terms and conditions, then Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust may by written notice require the Applicant to repay Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust, at Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust’s absolute discretion, all or part of the Grant. The amount notified must be repaid within 30 days of any such notice.
  1. Before or after the award of the Grant, the Applicant must, if requested by Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust, cooperate with Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust in relation to publicity initiatives regarding the NEXT GEN Athletes Program.
  1. Any personal information that is submitted via this application form is collected by Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust for the purpose of considering applications for grants and administering the NEXT GEN Athlete Program.
  2. Details of successful Applicants (including: biographical information such as their name, home state, sport, and any photo or video footage of them produced in connection with the NEXT GEN ATHLETE program; the value of the Grant awarded; and a brief description of the purpose for the Grant) may be released by Sport Inclusion Australia and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust to the public and the media and may be placed on Sport Inclusion Australia, 2019 Inas Global Games and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust website, including for promotional purposes.
